Feel tired or foggy? 3 steps to improved energy and happiness!

If you want to improve your health, have more energy and feel happier, there are a number of things you can incorporate to your morning routine that will help you achieve those goals.  As a long-time juicer and juice therapist in training, I have found two articles highlighting the importance of a good morning routine that includes a nice juice or smoothie to get great results fast.

According to Laurentine Ten Bosch of Food Matters, starting the day with a glass of warm lemon water has numerous benefits for health and well being. In the following article, she mentions 16 Health Benefits Of Drinking Warm Lemon Water first thing in the morning. Amongst the most incredible benefits she mentions, I would highlight the following: Lemon is rich in Vitamin C, which has a great immune-boosting capacity; it helps maintain an alkaline pH in the body, which helps fight all kinds of diseases; and it has the ability to reduce uric acid, hence reducing inflammation and pain of joints and knees.

In this video, Jason Vale, also known as The Juicemaster, and one of the foremost experts on juicing in the world, mentions some of the health benefits of juicing in combination with exercise. Amongst these I would highlight the following: Fruits and vegetables are amongst the healthiest foods on the planet, and juicing is a great way to start consuming more of these excellent sources of nutrition. Fruit and vegetable juice helps nourish every cell in your body, which results in better health, more energy, and an overall increase in wellbeing. These juices also help your body get rid of the toxins that accumulate in it and help you lose weight in the process, both of which contribute to the improvement of your health and to feeling better and happier.
If you want to start the day on the right foot, here are 3 things you can do to feel energized, full of vitality and happy straight away:

  • Drink lemon water ̶  With its numerous health benefits, you will start feeling its positive effects in no time. 

  • Do some exercise ̶  It doesn't need to be intense or strenuous, just by moving your body or doing some stretching exercises, you will help your body activate and wake up, and start oxygenating. Plus it releases endorphins, which make you feel happy.

  • Drink a juice ̶  Instead of having your usual breakfast, have a fruit and vegetable juice instead. This will nourish every cell in your body and will provide you with the much needed energy and vitality you need to make it through your day without feeling tired or foggy.

So, if you start your day by drinking a glass of lemon water followed by a light session of exercise (anything from 7 to 30 minutes) or some stretching and a fruit and vegetable juice, you will start feeling the benefits in no time.
